After delaying his education for a long time, Warren decided it was time to go back to school and finish. With his family growing, he signed up for the American Job Center’s Adult Education classes. Warren’s not done; his goal has now expanded to attend college to further his education.

Juana Duran

Read Juana's Success Story

Juana Duran is a resident of Stamford and was referred to the Stamford American Job Center by a friend. After 12 years of work as a housekeeper, she was concerned about providing for her family. She came into our office interested in accessing WIOA funding for a career change and to secure a higher paying job. She attended the WIOA Orientation and worked with AJC staff to research career pathways and made the decision to pursue training to become a Certified Nurse Assistant. She completed her training successfully and received her CNA license, which in turn led to a position with Norwalk Hospital. Juana appreciates the assistance provided by the Stamford AJC and the opportunities she was able to have thanks to WIOA training funds. She strongly recommends the Stamford AJC for assistance with your career goals.
