Education and Training Connection

The Connecticut Education & Training Connection is intended for use by students, teachers, counselors, job seekers, job developers, and others in need of information on education and training. It offers several search options to explore the world of Education & Training in Connecticut — find providers in your area, locate providers that offer the program or course you are interested in, or find out which programs or courses are related to the occupation you are interested in.

Connecticut Apprentice Programs

Apprenticeship programs in the State of Connecticut are administered by the Department of Labor through Regional Apprenticeship Representatives. Skilled consultants provide technical assistance, monitoring, and consulting services to qualified employers willing to take on the responsibilities and obligations of program sponsorship.

OATELS

The Office of Apprenticeship Training, Employer and Labor Services (OATELS) is a consolidation of the Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training and the new responsibilities of the employer and labor liaison. OATELS engages in partnership activities, ensuring quality service and customer satisfaction.

About the Southwestern Connecticut American Job Centers

American Job Centers are a unique collaboration of state, regional and local organizations addressing the workforce development needs of both our residents who are seeking jobs and businesses that want to employ them.

There are American Job Center offices located throughout Fairfield County and New Haven County. Services for job seekers include career counseling, job skills training and job search assistance, while businesses can receive employee recruiting and workforce training assistance, along with labor market information.
